Today is my one year vegan anniversary!!
One year ago today I began my journey with veganism. It has been an amazing year filled with fun foodie adventures, kitchen mishaps and many amazing meals. Thinking back I can still remember the last piece of meat I ever ate. I was prom dress shopping with my best friend and we stopped for lunch at Wendy’s, I got a chicken wrap and then I went home and threw up. Since I have gone vegan my life has been filled with excitement! 🙂

And most importantly I discovered myself as a person. Going vegan completely changed my life. I became more confidant, outspoken and passionate. I’ve gained so much knowledge, and I am the healthiest that I have ever been. I have realized my true passions and finally figured out what I want to get out of my life. The people who I have spoken with, and the new friends I have made are amazing. I am so grateful that this path chose me!

I really enjoyed hearing your craziest snow day rituals on my last post, there were so many that I had never heard of! Too bad none of them worked. I think the only thing that is going to cure my case of senioritis is a little thing called graduation – which is June 6th! I’m also really excited for this ab challenge and I’m glad you are all too! I’m working on the details now but ill be getting it out ASAP.

Guided Compass 
I recently made some changes in my life, not quite vegan yet. Pescatarian so far. But I just began my love affair with the Larabar! The cherry & apple pie are my favs so far. It makes eating raw seem so easy! As well as an infatuation with Almond Milk, the chocolate is especially delicious!
Haha! So I didn’t get the amazing experience of sharing my snow day ritual so I will here… I do my epic snow dance! I twirl in a spot and sing “let it snow” using my jazz fingers like snow as I twirl, I look completely goofy but it WORKS!!!!

First of all, happy 1 year vegan anniversary!!! Veganism is a really fun, wise choice to make for youself, the environment, and the animals 🙂 Keep it up and keep being you! (because seriously, you inspire me A LOT!)
The thing I like about your blog is that it’s in its own categories, so it’s easy to find, you link your blog to many different blogs so the readers can explore and have new findings (like me!), and you have many goodie recipes that are fun and easy to make. Something I would like to see more are your favorite grocery stores to get your food (other than FIC!:D),, your cute utencils for cooking (so I can use it as reference) and more raw recipes (pleaaaaaaaaaaseeee!!?)
I don’t know what Mardi Gras is, so I don’t know what to say, but I would probably have lots of vegan food! 😀

i love your recipes + all the nutritional info / tips /definitions you always give – so helpful and there are so many ingredients that i know are “good for me” but i’m not really sure why or what nutrients they have – and your blog always fills me in! and i love the pictures as well.
i’d love to see more recipes – maybe some more quick & easy ones for college students on the go =)

on a sidenote, i totally identify with a lot of your background/growing up experience… it was in my mid-teens also that i became vegetarian, transitioned into veganism, and now try to eat a high-raw diet – and i’m 19, so not too much older than you, but it is really cool and encouraging seeing someone my age also going through the same things!
I liked your honesty. Congratulations on your first year. It is great to see young people making these food choices vs mainstream fast food options.
