Sick Germ Knockout!

Morning Muffins!

Thanks so much for your get well vibes, I am feeling much better today. 🙂

Here a just a couple of things that have been helping me get over this nasty bug I’ve caught.

I swear I think I have become addicted to this stuff. I have liked every single flavor that I have tried (and reviews to come!) I can just imagine all of the good bacteria, and alive enzymes zooming around in my stomach helping my cells restore everything to balance.

Roses from the Earth Muffin Man (this times 2!) The smell oh so nice, and look gorgeous on my bedside table.

Oatmeal is one thing that has been super easy for my stomach to digest. Plus with so many tasty toppings and add-ins it never gets old. What is your favorite oatmeal combination?

I have taken the past three days off from the gym, and instead I have been doing yoga instead. I have taken to getting many of my videos from Yoga Download, where you can get many videos for free if you make an account or optionally subscribe.

Miso Happy Soup

Miso does contain a beneficial bacteria and is rich in zinc, iron, copper and magnesium. It is also beneficial to the digestive tract. For more about the magical miso check out my post about it here.

Lets hope I can get this bug out of my system, especially in about an hour or so because I am going on a college visit to Mount Union. I’m really excited! Since I have only 35 days of school left, and May 1st is quickly approaching I need to make a college decision asap. It is such a huge decision, and I am just so worried that I am going to make the wrong one and end up wasting time. I just want to do so much, and help so many people, and I just want to make sure I find the most efficient and right road to get there. Am I making this more difficult than it actually is? Should I just pick a school and then considering the option to transfer later?

Okay, I have to go and finish getting ready. Pictures coming tomorrow!

Question of the day – How did you decide were you went/are going to school?

Who wants to go on a shopping spree? Me me me! 🙂

And a giveaway for a free one year yoga download subscription. Yes please!

Molly is having an amazing grass giveaway in honor of her one year blog-aversary! 🙂

  1. Glad you’re feeling better! I’m not a big fan of kambucha; way too vinegary for me, but I’m a HUGE fan of oatmeal! My favorite combo is smashed banana, cocoa powder, and peanut butter. I think I’ve had that every morning for the past week!

    1. Holy moly your combination sounds yummy to me! I bet it would taste yummy with some extra carob chips and coconut added in too. MMMMM 🙂

  2. Yet another post that convinces me I need to try Kombucha!

I grew up around Notre Dame University and when I was a kid running around the campus I thought I wanted to go there. But by high school I realized that staying that close to home wasn’t for me and so I chose another school. I decided on the school I wanted to go to and only applied there. Looking back, that wasn’t a bright move because if they wouldn’t have taken me or my program would have been full I’d have been scrambling to find a backup. But luckily they wanted me! 😛

  3. I just posted about kombucha too! Yum.

I wanted to be in New York City and in a well reputed arts program, so that pretty much narrowed it down for me 😉

  4. I am so glad that you are feeling better. 🙂 And, good luck on that college decision!

  5. Glad you’re finally feeling better! I’m sipping a Kombucha as I type this 🙂 Have fun at your college trip! I actually ended up transferring after my first year, but I made a stupid choice- following an ex-boyfriend, haha. I’m happy now though!

  6. I love yoga download. That is the best! I always find when I watch videos, my head is all twisted around. It is nice just to listen to the directions.

I am the most boring oatmeal person..nuts and maybe some brown sugar.

Hope you get to feeling better!!

  7. People used to tell me that it really didn’t matter in the end; that I was making choosing a college more difficult than it actually was. I didn’t believe them at all, because I thought that I needed to find the perfect fit.

To a certain extent, that’s true. You do need to find a school where you’ll fit in, that has the major you want, etc. But don’t dwell on it too much. In the end, most colleges are basically all the same.

In retrospect, I probably wouldn’t have gone to the university I go to now, but I didn’t really know what I wanted when I chose it. But I like it here now and wouldn’t transfer for the world!

Good luck with your decision! Hope this helped.

  8. I love the kombucha drinks too! Have you tried the guava goddess? I think that one is my favorite! Feel better soon!

  9. i definitely get that same feeling about the bacteria swirling around when i eat soy yogurt and such, what a healthy feeling! i really need to try those drinks, they are everywhere! and that is such a hard question ha ha but my favorite oatmeal combination i would have to say is oatmeal with vanilla soy milk, sliced strawberries, bananas, and soyatoo, yum (:

  10. omg okay i just love your blog!!!! im gonna add u to my blogroll if thats okay. its at

ur pics are amazing, ur food looks delish.. and ur blog name is ADORABLE! 🙂

  11. Ahh – I’ve been loving Kombucha lately, too. Especially GTs and Synergy! I’ve got the High Country brand right now – and while not bad, it pales in comparison.
Glad you’re feeling better! The roses are so cute 🙂
And good luck with your school decision. I know you’ll make the right one, and you’ll know it before it’s too late, too.
    Have a great night!

  12. when i went to college i went to my what i thought was my first choice, cal poly slo. while i was there i learned that it was a very challenging school and i couldn’t change my major, i was stuck. i then had personal problems and i transferred, that was in 2004. i then applied to cal state fullerton and i learned that i had to go to community college and take two classes that cal state fullerton required. i then was accepted to cal state fullerton in 2007, really late but i was so happy i was started a new major. my new major was american studies and i knew nothing about it. now that i have graduated from there, i really loved loved the school and the major. it was the best decision ever to go to school near home, it should of been my first decision to go to cal state fullerton in 2000.

for all this, please go to a school you love and a major you love. please don’t be stuck in a major you don’t like because it’s the worst feeling in the world.

  13. I feel like all I’ve read about today is Kambucha, it may be time to try! When I decided where to college I knew there would be ONLY one that I wanted to go to, and I applied early decision and thankfully got in. Just go with your gut, close your eyes and think “where do I want to be” or “where did I feel most comfortable”. Each school I attended for undergrad and grad gave me that “feeling”. When I applied to grad. school I had to make a tough choice between a top tier school and a MUCH cheaper, far away in sunny California good school. I went with the sun 🙂 Good luck!

  14. Once I visited the school I ended up attending I just KNEW. I totally felt comfortable and could see myself wandering around campus for the next 4 years. It ended up being a little different than I had thought, but I definitely found people here I wouldn’t find anywhere else and we all are keeping each other going. Definitely take the time to explore away from the official tour and see what kids are really like, how they dress, and if you’ll be happy being yourself there. It also helps if you notice lots of cute guys – that is one thing my school is desperately lacking in.

  15. hmm for undergrad I just stumbled upon the school, went on a tour, and then made a pro/con list of all the schools i liked and well it won.

for graduate school i am enrolled in the same school as undergrad but i did apply to many schools… getting into Speech Pathology is very difficult so I was happy to get into the program.. whoosh.

omgosh those flowers are so gorgeous!!

  16. Glad you feel better! My favourite oatmeal is with a banana and some chopped nuts. Simple and quick to make. 🙂

  17. Glad to hear you are feeling better. That kombucha must have helped. I’m going to Whole Foods tomorrow. I’ll have to pick some up. I’m craving the grape one. It’s the best!

  18. All those things you mentioned are definitely a sure fire way to get better, and I’m glad to see you’re doing well 🙂 Those flowers from your boy are SO sweet; I love having fresh flowers to freshen up a room.

My favorite oatmeal combination is definitely oats, apple, raisins, and cinnamon; I can’t get enough! Although I’m definitely liking the oat, flax, yogurt, and maple syrup combo as well.

  19. Aww, get better! Looks like you’re covering all your bases though which is very bueno. Keep it up and I hope your college visit turns out great!

  20. Good to hear you’re feeling better! For the past 2 days I’ve had a sore throat so I’m drinking green tea and green smoothies!

Pretty flowers! With all that good food and liquid being consumed you’re sure to get better quickly. 🙂

Don’t over think the whole college situation, just go with what feels right and if you honestly can’t figure out which would be best, pick. Don’t think about it, just choose. I have a feeling that you’ll make the right choice and even if you end up wanting to change, you’ll still have gained valuable life experience.

  22. good luck with the school hunt! Just go with your gut feeling.. where you KNOW you’ll be happiest and everything will fall into place ❤
