Is that your final answer?

So I have got some super huge amazing news!

But first onto some fun packages that Mr. UPS Man delivered to me today.

I won a giveaway over on one of my newest favorite fitness blogs, Ripped Bodies and Jodie Pilates, for a Gaiam Pilates dvd. I am so excited to try this out. I have been wanting to try out pilates for the longest time, and I have been looking for something to shake up my workout routine and I think that this could be it.

Package number two was from Lele over at Lele Lurves Plants. I was the winner of her giveaway for her one year blog anniversary! 🙂 I was so surprised at how huge the box was, she filled it to the brim with so many goodies.

Who wouldnt want to recieve this in the mail?

The box had both vegan and non-vegan treats (which Earth Mama was happy to help me out with! :))

Lele totally hooked me up with some cookies from Newman’s Own Organics. Both flavors of the Newman-O’s are vegan, but sadly the Fig Newmans are not which totally bummed me out. I do love figs!

Cool candies and other goodies from… Thailand? China? I’m not the best with other languages, I can barley speak spanish. The downside to these is that I cant read the ingredients, which means I cant tell what they are made out of. If there is anyone out there who recognizes the language on these packaging wanna help a girl out and do a little translating? 😉

More goodies!

Burt’s Bees coconut foot cream, lavender soap from Asia, Newman’s Own Organic’s peppermints, Burt’s Bees lipbalm and a really cute elephant key chain.

Lele thank you so much for the wonderful package. Congratulations again on one year of blogging, and I wish you many many more! 🙂

Okay so now onto my super exciting news.

As you all know my senior year of high school is winding down, and after exciting college acceptances and a few college visits I was able to narrow down my selection of school’s to just a couple.

Last week I was able to visit Mount Union, which is just a few hours away from my house. After getting to tour the campus again (and drooling over my adorable tour guide!), and getting to talk to the executive chef about getting more vegan options in the cafateria I had a lot to think about.

Over the past couple months I have been really developing, and getting to know myself better. I feel like I have grown so much and have come so far in such a short amount of time. After talking to many of you and getting advice (and you all putting up with my constant ponderings and whinings) I have finally come to a decision!

Can you take a guess?

Why yes that is a poster of Edward Cullen in the background… dont tell my boyfriend. 😉

I’m going to MOUNT UNION!

Mount Union is such an amazing school and has so much to offer me. Plus I know that once I get there I will be able to meet other people who have similar ideals as myself (and maybe start up a vegan potluck or two on the way who knows!) Even though they don’t have my intended major of study which was Nutritional Science, I am going to be majoring in Health and then triple minoring in Business, Exercise Science and Communications and Journalism.

As far as my career goes I would love to do something within the health field, and for a long time I thought I wanted to become a registered dietitian. While I am still interested in pursuing that, I ultimately want to open my own business where I will do nutritional counseling, operate my own vegan cafe with an emphasis on healthy foods, and teach Zumba, yoga and pilates classes. Oh and I wouldn’t mine doing a little writing, or public relations work too.

I feel so relieved that I have finally made a decision. Now I can finally try to relax a little bit and enjoy the end of my senior year.

Tonight in honor of earth day tomorrow a local college campus is having an all you can eat vegan buffet. I cant wait! I’m ready to eat lots of yummy food, and spend some time with friends. Pictures and a  full re-cap to come tomorrow.

Michal ♥

Question of the day – Where did/do you go to college?

  1. Congratulations on your choice! I’m sure you made the right decision – your excitement is a pretty good indicator!

I go to Carnegie Mellon. I used to have a little more school pride, but like most people, that ended when I got here. We love to hate it and I wouldn’t/couldn’t leave now.

  2. Wow! I am so happy for you, Michal! Mount Union sounds amazing. And, maybe you can hook up with that hottie of a tour guide. 😉

I love the fact that you have future plans like mine. And, I also love the fact that Edward Cullen is hanging from your wall. 🙂

Have fun at the vegan buffet – wish I could be there! Can’t wait to see the pictures!

  3. Yay!!!! BIG congrats!!!

  4. Congrats on the decision! I graduated from Purdue University!! Loved it. 🙂

  5. AWESOME! Congrats. 🙂 It’s gotta feel good to have the decision out of the way. You’re so ambitious, I know you’re going to be successful!

  6. AHH CONGRATS ON FINDING A COLLEGE!!!!! sooo exciting girl!

    Congrats on winning the giveaway!

And about those candies, some of them look Japanese, but they look like Chinese as well. You want to send me close-up pictures (front and back with the ingredients on it) so I can (see if I can) read it and translate it?

That’s a butt load of food that you got! Honestly, how are you going to finish it?!?! 😀 (yeay for earth mama!)

Btw, how did you make your blog so popular? If there’s any tricks, you should tell me 🙂

And finally, CONGRATS ON YOUR COLLEGE DESICION!!! I hope you made a wise choice on the long-run, and everything turns out good! (wait, do you think you can make your major there? If you can, then everything would be perfect for you, won’t it?) 😉 Girl, you’re one lucky lady!

  8. Congratulations on making a decision! I think that setting yourself up for that many majors and minors might be a lot of work while you’re there, but it’ll set you up in a good spot for the long run. Good luck, how exciting!!

  9. Congratulations! I know making a decision like that feels SO good and you now know what path you’re going to be on! Good luck! I went to New York University for undergrad and would go back again and again if I could!

  10. Yay! Congrats on picking a good school! Sounds totally awesome.

You really don’t look highschool-ish at all. I think you just have mature features and if I saw you I would guess you were already well into college. Must be because you ARE mature.

  11. CONGRATS on the decision!! Sounds like it will be a great fit for you 🙂 I transferred from Carnegie Mellon to NYU after my freshman year, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. You’ll love college!!

  12. im taking college online .. distance education. virtual college is pretty sweet since it allows me the freedom to do other things. prolly not for everyone tho thats for sure.

haha u look uber excited in ur pics.

    HAPPY EARTH DAY ❤

  16. OMG you picked a college! Yay you! That is the biggest, craziest decision ever, I so remember. I went to Boston University and I have no clue why I picked it hahaha.
I’m glad you liked the giveaway 😀
In regards to the vegan-ness of the Asian goodies, you’re definitely safe on the little orange things (candied sweet potatoes) and dried fruit. The gummies I’m guessing have gelatin and the oat mix I’m guessing has dairy 😦 I’m sorry, I wish I’d given you more you’d be able to eat! But I hope you enjoy the ones you can, and the nonedible goodies 😀
