    I just wanted to say how inspiring your blog is. I’m 15 and I started eating raw about 9 months ago. It’s been very awkward dealing with friends and social situations where everyone else is eating junk and asking me why i’m not eating it too.

    I first started out changing my diet because I wanted to lose weight too, but I realize there’s so much more to it. I’m not a raw foodist but I’m slowly incorporating raw meals more into my diet. I’m really interested in trying your mock tuna! I recently joined goneraw.com and noticed you’re on there too! I checked out the Cinnamon Rolls recipe you favorited and Wow those look and sound soo delicious!

        Goneraw.com is awesome! I used to scrounge through many recipe websites for ideas on what to make, but almost all of them were loaded with heavily processed foods and cooked at really high temperatures. But now I run to raw foodist recipe websites when I’m looking for ideas, they’ve made my experiences in the kitchen much more fantastic.

        I’ll definitely let you know how the mock tuna turns out! I’ll also “favorite” your blog once I figure out how to do that… I don’t understand any of these new-tech features. For now, I’ll just post a link to your blog, if you don’t mind that is! =)

    1. Thanks! Say, would you like me to ship some of my sculpey clay to you, so you can make your own charms? I’d only charge you for shipping (and I’ll make the package thin so it’s as cheap as possible). It’s totally fine if you don’t want to. I just don’t know what to do with some of the colors and am so busy with other things at the moment… I’d also throw in some extra beads (seriously, I have too many beads right now to take them all with me on my sailboat, and I haven’t been able to set up booths to sell jewelry lately so I have too many =( )

      By the way, what do you think of my jewelry prices? (honestly!) I’d like to know if others think it’s fair =)

      Btw… I got a dehydrator today, whoooo!!! I’m so excited about it =)

I’ll send you these colors: medium blue, bright medium green, medium purple, light teal, muddy brown, dark bright purple, yellow, dark bright pink, and dark medium orange. It won’t be a huge amount but it’ll be enough to make a whole bunch of charms and beads. I’ll throw in a few clay beads and charms that I made when I started out, as well as a variety of gemstones and glass beads (are you crafty?). I’ll maybe go to the post office tomorrow to see how much the shipping will cost (I think it’ll be between 2-5$.     Thanks for telling your mom about my jewelry! It’d be awesome if I could make a few sales before I permanently move onto the sailboat, it would be totally appreciated =). Do you know anyone who really likes unique jewelry and gemstones? And thanks for your opinion. Actually I’ve always had a dilemma with my prices, because many people say it’s low and that might mean some people would think they were made of cheap materials, but I hate to charge prices that people think are too high! Pricing my jewelry is the part I hate doing the most!!

    About the dehydrator, I’ll be making fruit leathers! =) I can’t wait to try them! I got a Good4U 6-tray dehydrator. I hope it works out for me!

    OMG Yesturday I made nutty chocolate balls for the first time and they were to die for!! I used raw cocoa nibs, carob powder, peanut butter, hemp hearts, coconut oil, cinnamon, pecans and minced raisins, turned them into balls, rolled them in hemp hearts and stuck ’em in the fridge, they are soooo good! But making these with completely raw ingredients would be way too expensive for me… Maybe that’s a good thing, or else I’d be eating them all the time!! I’ll post a picture of them soon =)

I am semi-crafty actually I love scrapbooking and chrocheting even though I havent done it in forever. My mom and I are big fans of unique jewlery and gemstones, when I was younger my mom had this cool bead box and we would make all kinds of stuff. I even learned how to use a bead loom.
      Yummers about the fruit leathers – i have never tried them but I heard that they are super delicious and good for ya to boot. Your nutty chocolate balls sound like little drops of heaven. I totally understand where you are coming from about raw being expensive. That is one of the things holding me back from being able to make all kinds of scrumptious raw desserts.       1. I would Love to get into scrapbooking, but I feel that I don’t have enough imagination, and I criticize my work too much and that ruins my work overall. Hah, I don’t even know how to use a bead loom yet! Well, I have an idea, but I’ve never actually used one.

        Today I created another amazing recipe, one that made Robin and I immediately think of Ferrero Rocher! It’s so simple too, and sooo good, but it’s not super pretty. I’ll post a picture of this too when I get the chance! I’m so busy right now…

    I just wanted to say how inspired I was with your blog, I am turning seventeen in April and I have been a vegetarian my whole life, but switched to being a full vegan about 6 months ago. I had to slowly taper off of my raw skim milk and greek yogurt, but I am very glad I did. I mainly began vegan because my health conditions, but also for my love of animals which has definitely grown through veganism.
    Anyways, I just love your story and how you started this blog, and I can relate to having a hard time with family and friends not understanding our choices in food. Although, like you had mentioned it definitely was the right choice! I do hope you keep writing and inspiring others, and hopefully kids/adults will see what an empowering choice it is to take control of what we put into our mouths, no matter our age. It truly is the greatest thing we can do, esp with all the diseases and obesity that plagues many generations today.

    When I was a vegetarian I always felt much more comfortable around eating situations because people can deal with my “strange choices” better if I still eat cheese, dairy, etc and I usually didn’t have to make any “special requests”.
    As a vegan I get way more “oh my god aren’t you deprived?” and “crazy health nut!” sort of things… What are some ways you deal with these reactions?
    I’ve been vegetarian all my life so I’m pretty good at diverting the stares etc but I am curious as to how others deal with this.

I’ve been contemplating going totally vegan for a while but haven’t made the switch… partly because I just don’t know enough recipes and partly because I don’t what I’ll tell people when I’m add gatherings, lunches, etc. So it’s great to see a teenager just doing it! I’m 21 and am doing a 2 week vegan trial right now. Assuming it kicks arse, I think I may keep this diet around πŸ˜€

    hi! i always eat as healthy as i can and often people ask me why i dont (or wont) eat junk. sometimes i dont know what to say to them, so i just say i am full. people are starting to think i never eat and am never hungry! whenever i bring a friend to whole foods or any place to get food i get something healthy and they always ask why or how i am being so “good.” it’s so frustrating sometimes! do you have any suggestions?
    *and sometimes people give me weird stares too like when i went to a steakhouse with my parents and got a salad… (you can be sure i had yummy desserts when i got home!! AKA peach and greek yogurt!)
